The golf competition for everyone

After almost two full years of counting and waiting for the end to come, we’re finally seeing the finish line! COVID-19, you were tough but we defeated you. Dear citizens, it’s because you behaved well and followed the rules that we’re finally getting our freedom back. Having said that, we would like to introduce a new surprise.

The culture of Avélie is awaking. Our national sport will finally step into the spotlight. We are giving you, the citizens of Avélie, the chance to participate in a golf competition. It’s the first time we’re doing this because it’s not known enough even though it’s our national sport.

The competition will take place on the 3rd of November in Avélon. It will start at 1 PM and finish around 4 PM. The winner gets a price and there will be a buffet for everyone to enjoy.

The contest will be split into four parts. We divide the number of participants into four groups and every hour one group of contestants will start to play the game. The families and friends of a player are also allowed to come! You just have to announce how many people you’re taking with you so we can reserve a place for them to sit together in the grandstand.

We want to encourage you all to join the event. We realize that it might be frightening to attend something like this after such a rough period of isolating yourself, but this is a new chance to make friends again and have fun. We are taking the necessary precautions to keep you and your supporters safe by demanding a negative PCR test or a vaccine certificate before entering, so there is no reason to be afraid of COVID-19 infections.

Registrations for this competition take place on the website of Avélie. Don’t forget, everyone is eligible for participation, young and old.
