In the morning of Friday 3 December, three employees of the excavation company 'Mevaco' found a mine full of gold. It is said that there are up to 3 trillion tonnes of gold in the mine. At the moment, several teams are still digging to get closer to the treasure in order to make an accurate estimate of the value that could be found in the mine.

During work in the caves

​

The gold mine was found by chance because work was going on in 'Caesar's caves'. During the period from 5 November to 23 December, work was carried out in the caves to see what condition they were still in. If the caves were still in good condition, the caves were opened to the general public.

During the works, three workmen were cutting into the cave and suddenly came across something golden. After further investigation, it turned out to be real gold. They are now investigating the approximate size of the mine and soon after they will start collecting gold.

Gold will be used as a material in many sectors. It will be used for in mobile phones, but also in all kinds of jewellery that you will be able to buy. In addition, gold reflects ultraviolet radiation well. That is why a lot of gold is invested in space travel.

 

Because we no longer have to import gold, the prices of many goods are likely to fall.
